Fifteen minutes north of Calgary, Nose Creek Park in Airdrie turns into one of Western Canada’s largest free walk-through Christmas light displays. Volunteers have run the Airdrie Festival of Lights since 1996, and it’s the classic small-city Christmas night out: lights over the creek, fire pits, miniature trains and visits from Santa.
The festival runs December 1 to 31, 2026, nightly from 6 to 9 PM. Admission is free, with donations welcome.
